The Black Belt Salsa® curriculum was co-authored by Grandmaster Willie McIntosh and Edie "The Salsa Freak" Williams — the most widely recognized name in Social Salsa education worldwide. Together they built the first — and only — progressive belt system in the Art of Social Salsa dancing.

This is not a tour. It is not a meet-and-greet. The BCS Open House is your first real class — orientation and Black Belt Salsa® curriculum combined into one immersive session taught by Grandmaster Willie McIntosh himself or the Academy Senior Sensei a Certified Black Belt Salsa Instructor.
You will feel the music. You will learn the system. You will leave knowing exactly where you belong on the belt path.

Summer SCHOOL - WEEKENDER Intensive
White Belt through Orange Belt. 8-week semesters. Tuesday and Thursday evenings. 2 hrs instruction + 60 min Social practice floor. The foundation of your Social Salsa journey.
WHITE BELT → ORANGE BELT
Dance Team Training. July through November. Must be 4th Degree Orange Belt to apply. Red-Black Belt earned through performance — not just attendance.
YELLOW BELT → RED-BLACK BELT

Master's Degree
BCS Instructor Track
Earn your Blue Belt — Certified BCS Instructor. 10-week program. Individuals are required to self-nominate. Teaching involves understanding the Adult Learning Model (ALM) from the lens of a Social Dancer + proprietary BCS syllabus certification.

BCS runs three semesters per year. Each semester is 8 weeks. Every semester begins with an Open House — free and required for all new students.

Every BCS class ends with an open Social practice floor so students apply what they just learned in real time. At select locations Social practice takes place in a live Latin atmosphere.
